Slightly chaotic at SLU tonight. SLU men's soccer about to kick off agtainst La Salle in the A-10 tournament, there's a Riley Green concert next door at Chaifetz and lots of people trying to get here. For fans used to arriving at Hermann close to kickoff, it's not an easy night

The Klauss offside call was the kind that was so close, many would prefer to see it called onside and let VAR see if you're wrong, rather than the other way around. (Columbus fans are likely to disagree.) Ref said no angle they had showed Klauss definitely onside, so no review recommended.

The Cardinals suffered a painful loss this afternoon and then an entirely different kind of painful loss tonight. They were swept today and this weekend. Iván Herrera is going on the IL. It's going to snow in Pittsburgh this week. Kept the ten hit thing going, though. Started 3-0, now 4-5.

And of course I’m already hearing “it’s early” — as if anyone needs that pointed out to them. Yeah, it was early last season when the 2024 #STLCards lost 4 of their first 6 series at home (6-11 record) which put them in a ditch. It’s never too early to win. It’s always beneficial to win.

By any measure the #STLCards three-game sweep of the Twins was a success. Oh, we can choose to be miserable human beings by fussing over 2 guys (Contreras, Winn) who went hitless in the series. Just about everything else was on point - as the 19-6 run differential indicates.
