Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

Silicon Valley's most extreme work practices get exported globally as "best practices" while sustainable approaches stay invisible.

On a recent work trip, I met people who'd absorbed a vision of Silicon Valley culture that bore little resemblance to reality.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

A group of young kids without knowledge or experience hacking away with the help of ai and almost certainly no test framework is how you bring a system down with no hope of getting it back. Not great bob
I do not have a source specifically to confirm this, but I’m 100% confident that DOGE does not have a COBOL programmer, let alone someone who could remotely understand these systems.

We cannot accept a status quo in our elections where if one side wins they have to scratch and claw to withstand lies, illegal challenges, and violent mobs. And if the other side is successful, they're invited to measure the drapes and gather around the fireplace.
