I've always been opposed to regime-change wars. In Dec. 2002, as a junior in high school, I wrote an op-ed in my local paper opposing the invasion of Iraq. The Bush admin.'s case for war was transparently dishonest, and I could see it even as a 16-year-old.

I am running against one of the most entrenched and corrupt members of the Massachusetts delegation, a representative who has taken over $863,000 from AIPAC, more than $800,000 from the pharmaceutical industry, and tens of thousands from crypto executives and PACs. He delivers on these investments: he voted to eliminate IRS reporting requirements for crypto platforms, voted against expanding Medicare drug price negotiation while parroting pharma talking points, and voted for $21.1 billion in military spending to Israel. I am not accepting money from corporate PACs, crypto PACs, AIPAC, or DMFI. Instead, I am running on a platform of Medicare-for-All to guarantee healthcare as a right, Universal Basic Income to provide economic security as automation displaces workers, and ending political corruption by banning congressional stock trading, imposing a lifetime lobbying ban on members of Congress, and overturning Citizens United.

Rep. Seth Moulton announced he is returning donations from AIPAC and refusing to accept any future support from them. I'm calling on Rep. Jake Auchincloss to follow his colleague's lead. Rep. Auchincloss has received over $863,000 from AIPAC and its affiliates since 2020 — his single largest source of campaign funds. In 2025 alone, he has accepted $169,519 from AIPAC. The contributions flow from AIPAC PAC, DMFI, NORPAC, and a network of regional pro-Israel political action committees. Rep. Moulton said it plainly: AIPAC has aligned itself too closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu's government. He's right. But there's more to the story. The billionaires who fund AIPAC are the same ones who fund Donald Trump. Miriam Adelson, AIPAC's second-largest donor, poured over $215 million into electing Trump through her super PAC. Robert Kraft, the longtime Trump ally, gave $1 million to AIPAC's super PAC and also donated directly to Auchincloss. The same donor network funds both. Rep. Auchincloss has also accepted $2,500 from LFAS PAC, funded by one of the largest firearms distributors in the United States. The name of his leadership PAC? “Thoughts and Prayers” — the empty phrase politicians offer after every mass shooting instead of action. What has AIPAC gotten for its $863,000 investment? Rep. Auchincloss voted yes to appropriate $21.1 billion in military spending to Israel. He led 30 Democrats in criticizing countries for recognizing Palestinian statehood. He signed a Republican letter — with only 11 other Democrats — threatening the United Nations for implementing an International Court of Justice advisory opinion. I am not accepting any money from AIPAC, DMFI, or their affiliated PACs. I never will. The district deserves a representative who is not for sale.

Massachusetts has the highest family health insurance premiums in the nation: $3,600+ above the national average. Since 2005, premiums have nearly tripled. The "Massachusetts Model" of market-based reform isn't working. It's time for Medicare-for-All.
Families in Massachusetts spent, on average, $28,151 for employer-based health insurance last year, according to data presented by the Health Policy Commission, a state agency. Nationally, that figure was $24,540.

AI that works for us means that workers share in productivity gains. That requires Universal Basic Income funded by corporate automation taxes, worker councils with real power over deployment decisions, and strong collective bargaining rights.
Tech billionaires are attacking me but I want AI that works for us, not them. Not proposing a ban or vote of all employees. Nobel Laureate Acemoglu proposed worker council for input, incentivizing AI that augments as opposed to automates, & impact assessment of layoffs.

The US gave nearly $22.7 billion in military aid to Israel in the last two years. It's time to focus on the needs of the American people.
Breaking it down: There have been three 10-year framework agreements for long-term security assistance to Israel, in 1998 ($21.3 billion), 2008 ($32 billion) and 2016 ($38 billion). In 2024, during the war in Gaza, Congress and the Biden administration approved a multibillion-dollar emergency military assistance package for Israel, on top of the 10-year MOU. Israeli officials hope the next package will include even more in annual assistance, but are concerned the negotiations will be more difficult after the Trump administration's broad cuts to foreign aid.

In an internal memo from September, CEO Sam Altman said that OpenAI’s “audacious long-term goal is to build 250 gigawatts of capacity by 2033.” If Altman achieves this goal, OpenAI will need almost exactly as much electricity as India’s 1.5 billion people, and is likely to emit nearly twice as much carbon dioxide as ExxonMobil, the world’s largest non-state carbon emitter. That is enough energy to run at least 60 million of Nvidia’s GB300 GPUs. Because AI GPUs are worked so hard, they are assumed to have a lifespan of only two years. So OpenAI would require 30 million of these GPUs every year going forward, or their equivalent. That suggests OpenAI would require the entire output of another 10 fabs just like the 2nm fab in Taichung, along with all the memory and packaging fabs to support them. There are at least five other AI companies with mountains of capital to spend on building their own multigigawatt data centers.

Meanwhile, at least one primary challenger to Auchincloss has surfaced in recent days: Jason Poulos, an AI researcher whose website shows him holding campaign literature for Bernie Sanders. He lives in Sherborn, according to his Federal Election Commission filing. In an introductory video posted on social media from inside a gym, Poulos says he is running “to protect workers for AI-related job displacement” and supports policies such as a universal basic income and Medicare for All. (He then adds, “Now watch me squat 565.”) In an interview Wednesday, Poulos said he hadn’t commissioned the poll, either. “I don’t need a poll to know that the district needs new representation,” he said.

Expand tax credits that accelerate American manufacturing. The Administration has already taken critical steps to strengthen American manufacturing by extending the Advanced Manufacturing Investment Credit (AMIC) for semiconductor fabrication. OSTP should now double down on this approach and work with Congress to further extend eligibility to the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain; grid components like transformers and specialized steel for their production; AI server production; and AI data centers. Broadening coverage of the AMIC will lower the effective cost of capital, de-risk early investment, and unlock private capital to help alleviate bottlenecks and accelerate the AI build in the US.Counter the PRC by de-risking US manufacturing expansion. To provide manufacturers with the certainty and capital they need to scale production quickly, the federal government should also deploy grants, cost-sharing agreements, loans, or loan guarantees to expand industrial base capacity and resilience. This financial support would help counter the PRC, especially in instances where it is distorting the market, such as in copper, aluminum, electrical steel, rare earth elements, and semiconductor inputs. Direct funding could also help shorten lead times for critical grid components—transformers, HVDC converters, switchgear, and cables—from years to months. Initial investments could be made using existing authorities such as the Defense Production Act Title III and the Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office.
