At the federal level, I support postal banking — using the existing post office infrastructure to provide basic financial services in communities that private banks have abandoned.

The Bank of North Dakota has demonstrated for over a century that public banking works, and states like Mass. should establish their own public banks to provide affordable credit to underserved entrepreneurs.

I support establishing public banking options at the state and federal level. Public banks operate without the profit motive that leads private lenders to discriminate or avoid communities they deem insufficiently profitable.

I support moving toward universal programs — Medicare for All for healthcare, universal free school meals, and a permanent expanded Child Tax Credit — that reach everyone without the stigma and bureaucracy of means-testing.
December 16, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Means-testing creates benefit cliffs where earning an extra dollar can cost families thousands in lost benefits, effectively punishing work and trapping people in poverty.
December 16, 2025 at 1:22 PM
The most fundamental gap is that our safety net remains fragmented and means-tested rather than universal. Families must navigate a maze of separate programs, each with its own eligibility rules, applications, and bureaucratic hurdles.

Broken in the unemployment of my soul, I have driven a wedge into your world, fallen on both sides of it. Count me back to your mercy with the measures of a bitter song, and do not separate me from my tears."

I'm refusing corporate PAC money and AIPAC money because I want to be free to cosponsor and fight for these bills without worrying about which donors I might offend.

7/9 Mass. representatives cosponsor Jim McGovern's constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. Jake Auchincloss, the incumbent I'm running against, is not one of them.
December 15, 2025 at 1:46 PM
I support overturning Citizens United, banning congressional stock trading, and prohibiting members of Congress from becoming lobbyists. Until we get money out of politics, the donor class will veto the will of the people.

He met with Netanyahu, toured military sites, and gave media interviews — but never said a word about the American journalist who was killed.

AIPAC has given Auchincloss over $863,000. AIEF added $24,000 in travel for him and his wife. His silence on Shireen Abu Akleh was purchased.

Healthcare should be a right guaranteed to every person, not a commodity tied to employment that enriches insurance executives while patients suffer. I support single-payer healthcare that eliminates the private insurance industry's role in essential care.

Instead of wasting trillions on endless wars, we should invest in jobs, healthcare, and housing for Americans. We need a new generation of leaders who understand this.

They enrich defense contractors and create humanitarian disasters that last generations. Democrats must oppose regime-change war in Venezuela.
December 12, 2025 at 8:16 PM
The Trump admin. is beating the drums for regime change to distract from failures at home — just like Bush used Iraq to distract from a sputtering economy. Today, it's tariff chaos and the Epstein records. Regime-change wars don't spread democracy or make us safer.

That war killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians, cost trillions of dollars, and destabilized an entire region. The architects faced no accountability. We're seeing the same playbook now with Venezuela.
