It's less that they're buggy or their "flaws" and more the case that they have middleware dependencies that can't be licensed due to the original company no longer existing. It'd be a technical feat to get the up and running with modern tech.

When playing Ridge Racer, I noted the announcer during the replay has a tone similar to the ClayFighter announcer.

I found the role is credited to Michael Guinn. Not the CF announcer, but IMDb has Guinn as Dracula from Symphony of the Night and Harry Mason from Silent Hill.

I didn't expect that.
