When Sam gets thirsty at the studio he will find me & drop his water dish on my feet & give me this look.

Artists, quote with something silly.

A silly sketch I did in 1992 while working at an arts festival.

Age verification? This was the first computer game I ever played (on a pdp-11 in 1977)

I have finished my studio kitchen. All the upper shelves were left over bits from last fall's trailer reno. I added a water filter for drinking water to the sink instead of the soap dispenser that it came with.

Looking for technology that will allow you to see who's at your door yet not take part in mass state surveillance?

Let me introduce you...

SG1 is canonical Trek

Also, apparently canonical Guardians with the VR fighter tech.

More proof that SG1 is canonical Trek. S4E2.

I shall. He'll be happy that flappy fish is soon back in rotation 😁

We rotate his friends every couple of months so he's happy to see them again

Except for Reggie the hedgehog. That's his bestie.

Sam also has a very good sense of time. When I'm at the studio & he's with me, without fail, he will start bothering me between 3 & 3:15, often within a couple of minutes of 3. Like in this photo taken at 3:03pm

Which is bonkers.

Hey @benjaminahr.mobi (yes it's me again)

Here's proof that Stargate: SG1 is canonical Trek.

Anthony Montgomery in one of his first roles in S3E10 (carrying in moving boxes with no dialogue so pretty much Mayweather in ST:ENT 😏)

Made all sorts of soups (potato leek, Thai green & red etc) but haven't made chicken noodle soup for decades. Woke up wanting some

Chicken thighs, homemade stock, celery, onion, carrots, cabbage, bay, tarragon, garlic, oregano, black & white pepper, cayenne, salt & gf linguine noodles

Spectacular

Harris is my "your work reminds me of" guy when people talk about my art. Oddly, as a self taught artist in the early 90s, I had no idea who he was or his work. My mom visited me in Calgary in 96, saw this & said, oh that looks like Lawren Harris & I said.. who?

She bought me a book for Xmas 😏

Btw, for those looking to peacefully dissent, I present the stellar work of a fine citizen of Edmonton from a few years ago.

Got the plumbing roughed in & the electrical finished on the studio kitchen plus some joint taping on the other side while waiting for some print pickups.

Good night. Keep warm.

That one is worse than the one at my grandson's party... But still

(Why is it always Spiderman?)

-27c and the magpies have enfloofinated.

But they have access to fresh water which is important because if they don't have it, they need to eat snow which takes scarce energy to process.

Not feeling like painting atm (and recovering from some RSI) so I decided to build a kitchen & storage space at the studio.
January 23, 2026 at 4:35 AM
January proving my point.

Well. I need to drop some weight & get my BP under control & I've realized that biking in these icy conditions is not for me (+ the fact my bikes brakes are basically useless below -10), we bought a ridiculously expensive elliptical with some cash we were gifted.

I actually quite like it.

For international squirrel day. Some of those yummy new spruce tips.

(From years past...way too early for that here now)

Also... Is this the first Bluesky reference in the text of a novel? Maybe not but first I've seen.

Fun.
