A bit of personal news for y’all.

Today is my last day as a member of the Bluesky team!

The past 2+ years building out Bluesky’s Infrastructure and Platform team and scaling the network from 100,000 -> 40,000,000 users have been the most intense and rewarding years of my life.

another small addition, but here is a little service that will give you both the text from an image and generate a perceptual hash (using Facebook's PDQ algorithm) of a given image.

more to come, will also be adding the storage of flagged images and the matching of flagged images w/ osprey

In this case I don't think it'll be a problem because you're not using r2 as a CDN or anything, just using it to store the blobs as the origin cache. The actual BW usage is tiny.

I'm just running the official bsky distribution of the PDS from github.com/bluesky-soci...

Did some tweaking to get a S3-backed Blobstore using the env vars from github.com/bluesky-soci...

For R2 us northwest the Region var is "wnam"

I followed the instructions from whtwnd.com/bnewbold.net...

@danabra.mov inspired me to get GraphQL working with @slices.network aaaand it's pretty rad. Slices will generate query interfaces based on your Slices' lexicon and you can join on did/ref/uri. Here's a remix on Dan's teal demo using the entire @teal.fm dataset. slices-teal-relay.bigmoves.deno.net
