Our military is not trained for de-escalation or peacekeeping, they are trained to kill efficiently. We should not be sending them into our cities to police civilians.

Not only does this go against the Posse Comitatus Act, it will only escalate tensions.

Gov. Newsom should push for a law stating that while the federal government is shut down and the president refuses to allocate funding to Democratic states, all state taxes remain within the state to support its residents.
