Husband, father, physician, teacher, and (I feel) all around pretty decent guy who thinks that respect and empathy for our fellow humans is kind of important.
The USA just invaded another country and removed its leader. Regardless of whether or not that person was a good leader or not, this should strike fear and rage in heart of every person in the world.

It's important for people to understand that we're on a trajectory that eventually leads to political prisoners (first non-citizens, then citizens) being sent to these camps.

Just in NIH grants, It looks like beautiful Iowa City, home of the U of Iowa, will lose $71m in funding. That's almost $1k per resident. And that's before all the other cuts to SSA, FDA, etc.
Anyone in Iowa City that can offer more insight?
