I actually think we should pay higher taxes for more government services. All of us. (I’m obviously speaking about after the regime ends.) we should further expand government funding of health care and other priorities, without paying doctors less. but we absolutely would pay a lot more

You’d be surprised but I bet he gets plenty of recognition. Not mobbed, but recognition. I’m friends with someone who I’d say is roughly analogous and even though he’s many years past his peak and doesn’t work much any longer he gets people coming up to him whenever I’m out with him.
