Not only do we routinely see kids dying in ICE custody, now they’re missing nearly 1000 people who were being held in Alligator Alcatraz?

HOW THE HELL is this not a stop the presses moment?

We can only hope it’s not a Brubaker moment.

Every statistic about how bad the economy is getting is going to be buried or cooked by the end of the year.

Quarterly earnings reports shifting to semi-annual earnings will ensure private companies don’t inject reality too often by talking about declining sales, etc.

The government has been measuring food insecurity since the mid-1990s, but now says the report has become “overly politicized.”

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

I don’t remember the right being this upset back then—do you? 🤨

Why is it “innocent until proven guilty” for U.S. citizens and functionally “guilty until proven innocent” for immigrants in the U.S.?

Why are Americans that go elsewhere “expats” but people from elsewhere “immigrants”?

The university death spiral: 1) Enrollment is down. 2) Let's cut the most popular classes. 3) Oh look, cutting popular classes leads to even lower enrollment. 4) Now there's no money so we better cut them again. 5) Oh look . . .
