Another special surprise guest at the party was Bruce Springsteen. The Boss was in town to see the Who perform and also to see his friend, and E Street Band member, Miami Steve Van Zant, who opened both Who shows at the Richfield Coliseum with his Disciples of Soul.

Interesting side note: Warner Brothers Records threw a party for the Who and their crew after their first show performance at the Richfield Coliseum. The party was held from Midnight to 5am at the Peninsula Niteclub, and was attended by Pete Townshend and John Entwistle.
