SCOOP: Nursing home companies donated $4.8M to Trump's super PAC in Aug-Sept.

Their executives landed a lunch in Aug. with Trump at his NoVa golf club where they asked him to revoke a rule to increase staffing to prevent patient neglect.

His administration revoked the rule a few months later.

An absolutely lovely NY Times article about Stephen Shore's new book of photos he made between ages 12 & 17, which he'd basically completely forgotten about in intervening years. Side note: I was lucky enough to teach with Shore in Art department at Bard College in my first job out of grad school

Love all of this!
This video was released as bonus content on the “Inland Empire” DVD (2006), and it launched my love of quinoa. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve made this just the way David does in the video. It’s such a quick, simple, healthy, and delicious dinner.

For a photo op & a bragging media post, Trump minions at the USACoE have thrown away millions of gals of #water farmers were relying on for later this year. This water will not be captured, will not be useful for cities or farms or firefighting. It is now lost.

This is so wantonly stupid and destructive that .... I can't finish the sentence.
Trump just ordered 2 dams opened up in California in an unprecedented move that risks depleting the reservoirs ahead of the dry summer months.

And the kicker? The water from the dams doesn't even flow to Los Angeles.

I don't know how much oxygen there is for another store. But this is full mad king unreal. He ordered Army Corps to do a massive water release that created near flood conditions and flooded a bunch of farmland with no warning to the farmers.
Remember how Trump said he "sent the military in and opened up the water flow" in CA? It appears he forced the Army Corps to just drain reservoirs into recently flooded farmland without telling local farmers or leaders. “In 25 years, I’ve never seen anything like this.”
