I once fixed a dead Voodoo 3 that doesn't have SD output by replacing that crystal.
And of course I ordered 10 instead of 1 and that's proven to be quite a good decision down the road😅

I think it's called a multi-session disc? That if you don't close the disc, you can keep adding files to it.

My 2U server chassis with 12 trays, a backplane and 2 redundant PSUs cost me around $450. I hope a PC case is cheap enough to justify itself for a NAS build.
