I bleed verde. The truth is this team is not great. Rodo’s cooking smells food but tastes meh. But Owen F-in Wolff!! What a player!! Go on Owen! Just do whatever you want my son! Mauriccio ate uou watching?

And a fun, offense-catalyzing U22 No. 10 to Austin, right? Right?

Tickets still $85 bucks MINIMUM to see a US B/C team take on Saudi Arabia in the Austin summer heat. US Soccer really has lost its damn mind with ticket prices.

Dani Periera’s transition defense has improved a lot this season. I’ve been frustrated by a lot of our players’ playing below their level under Nico, but Dani has definitely improved under him.

I kept telling myself this this month and was holding onto it, but seeing us draw at home to the two matches we should be winning doesn't help. If we win those two, I feel a lot better about our chances.

Austin FC is bottom of the league in shots on target per match. What an absolutely miserable team to watch this season.

I don’t understand the modern “tactico” football manager that thinks a team doesn’t need a 10. When the other team team is playing defensively, a 10 can break them down by dribbling or passing through an organized defense. This seems pretty important in a league like the MLS

@philwest.bsky.social can someone ask the simple question - we have 7 goals in 11 games, we spent $30M on DP attackers, why can’t this team score goals? Nico must have some thoughts on that, what are they?

Not a single cross - open play, corner, free kick - has found an Austin FC player.

@moontowersoccer.bsky.social Ebobisse? He’s 27, a proven MLS goal scorer and I rate him ahead of Josef Martinez both for age and value. Yuell? Good CM with unrealized upside as a Ring replacement

Big sign of ambition from #AustinFC. You can imagine a scenario where ownership is tired of paying players/staff to go away and telling Rodo that he has to work with what he has. The fact that they are allowing this buyout is good news for Austin fans hoping for a big offseason.
Sources: Austin FC exercise contract buyout on forward Gyasi Zardes.

The move removes Zardes from the club's roster and salary cap, freeing up flexibility.

Zardes, 33, is the 10th all-time leading scorer in MLS history with 106 regular season goals.
