From the land of the mundane, just discovered the slider on Zoom multi-speaker view! It's great!!

The slider is between the speakers and the gallery below.

Multi-speaker view is great for big meetings.

Baffling to me that they named the company after eyes of evil that selectively displayed the truth

Given our work on clinician-directed interventions, it was good to think about how to combine the two in scalable ways.

2 days later..."no, actually, that thing I said I was working on, I can't do it"

Copilot is the worst.

This is potentially good. Maybe we've peaked for this go round. (Though it's only one data point.)

Co-Pilot. The most unreliable, dishonest co-worker.

Now with integrated giving up!

Hey, @bikelaneuprising.bsky.social! New jacket day!

The arms are a bit short, I don't love that it has a hood, but MY GOD is it reflective!!

Napoleon turned and removed his laurel wreath and crowned himself and then crowned the kneeling Josephine with a small crown surmounted by a cross, which he had first placed on his own head.

Terrific.

I've been getting strung along by Copilot saying it was working on a search for me that it would deliver "by EOD" every day for the past week.

Like the most unreliable, dishonest co-worker.

We need to stop using the MYTH VERSUS FACT format.

There's decades of research showing that the "myth versus fact" format promotes a sense of controversy and actually INCREASES recall of the myths later.

The order also has a variant of the idiotic trope about "enough fentanyl to kill XX people."

That's why we dose it in MICROGRAMS, friends.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting near Lake Michigan that has enough water to literally KILL BILLIONS OF PEOPLE!!

Mulling this very question over weekly. I miss what Twitter was.

I had NotebookLM summarize the discussion and give 3 action items.

Guess I'll stay/focus on BlueSky, but it's still not nearly as good as Twitter was before 2022.

Doest this seem right?

Pre-2022 Twitter > BlueSky > X

Nice.

This is implicit in the article, but we need to remember that the regrettably popular “myth versus fact” format has the unintended consequence of STRENGTHENING recall of the myth.

Just present the facts.

Just ran into this quote by Joseph McCarthy talking about, of all people, Gen. George Marshall.

Sound familiar?

How is Marshall remembered?

McCarthy?

On an otherwise pretty dark day for ID and public health, great to see this is out.

Thanks to my Co-Leads ("the Michaels") and special thanks to Dipleen Kaur and the IDSA Staff!

TL;DR: use a scoring system for GAS.

I'm surprised the number of concierge and direct primary care clinicians is not higher. It FEELS like there's a big move to concierge care.

Agreed. I was upset at the total lack of due process. What prevents this from happening again?

C. National Security

We will "elicit...reasons" for international students "for wishing to study at Northwestern," maybe "decrease financial reliance on foreign" students or entities," and provide the US, "upon request...all disciplinary actions involving student visa holders."

Not strive to "achieve race-based outcomes," provide race- or ethnicity-based scholarships," and make sure that hiring and promotion are "grounded solely in individual qualifications and academic and professional merit."
