I am convinced that this government wants to pull the plug on public education long term. I am not a conspiratorial person, but I see no other explanation. They want vouchers etc. “Choice”. No unionized teachers. Teachers are sacrificing their own

That’s the choice this government has made. They are choosing not to fund public education properly… they aren’t even budgeting for inflation+population growth. That’s a cut. Every year the situation worsens. Lagrange’s model plummeted funding, and the half measures this govt did to address the

going off about how private schools receiving the highest (and increasing) level of funding in the country is a net benefit is completely out of touch. Our public schools serve the majority of students. They are being robbed for “choice”. Children are not having their right to education upheld.

The hardest part about my spouse being on strike isn’t the financial impact. That’s bad, but let me tell you the guilt he felt knowing children at his school would be without the food programs that feed them that BROKE him. 1/5 children in this province live in poverty. Any politician/staffer
