I don’t know: it sounds like he understood Godot perfectly!

In passing, I had no idea that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter were playing Didi and Gogo, but now I do, I would love to see this.

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

That makes perfect sense. I thought there would have to be. It was just so striking in this day & age not to see the balance. But look, a 15s clip is hardly going to be indicative of a whole complex organisation.

Destroying children while wearing heels no less 🤣. That’s just adding insult to injury.

That’s very good to hear, thanks Eilish!

Fair play to ye. It’s great work to be doing. But it’s a bit weird that there were no women in the video. Maybe it’s a short clip from a longer piece.

That is beautifully said 💜.

I'm sorry, but for budget reasons, your chariot to the afterlife is scheduled to be pulled by a chicken.
Small votive dedication to Hades showing a man in a chariot and, sorry, a chicken. With greek inscription.

Also, irrespective of orientation, I find a real draw towards his “no I just can’t be bothered with all this nonsense” attitude.

We're continuing our unofficial English translation of An Caighdeán Oifigiúil (The Official Standard), as there's no official one.

We've remained close to the #Irish, resulting sometimes in clunky language. Chap 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 are available now.

This rare frog from the humid forests and caves of northern Vietnam has skin covered in green and black tubercles that resemble moss, algae, and lichen. When it clings to rocks or tree bark, it blends so perfectly that it is almost impossible to spot.

In honor of National Poetry Day, the greatest parody rewrite of all time:
Screen cap of parodic version of William Blake's "The Tyger" that begins:
Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright
(Not sure if I spelled that right)
What immortal hand or eye
Could fashion such a stripy guy?
What the hammer that hath hewn it
Into such a chonky unit?
Did who made the lamb make thee,
Or an external franchisee?

I can’t believe no-one has made these points before!! Or at least, I’ve never heard them.

You’re completely right. And that would be sending à completely different message. And be a better movie. I suppose Spider-Man: Into the Multiverse kinda followed that theme. It was more that Miles couldn’t access his powers until he committed & trusted in himself but it was along similar lines.

I guess it’s aimed at a teenage audience who are often emotionally volatile and poorly regulated and often feel themselves to vary between unrealistic power & helplessness. But it’s very worrying as a depiction of adults!!!

OMG!!! When you state it so clearly that’s a real gut punch!!!
