1. Not everyone knows everything we do. Amazingly, some people don’t even know who Ea-Nasir is. 2. I think it’s funny too, but I also liked the goofy-faced guy I found, so I thought I’d share it.

Thank you! I’m having fun with them. There’s a larger point about colonialism and diaspora, but mostly I’m just getting drawing practice.

The Queen of Smokey Mountain, out on sub again soon: Renata is a girl with the secret ability to talk to bugs, lifted out of poverty into the dazzling world of Philippine beauty pageants. The script is complete, though I’m making some revisions, and the artist is the amazing Amanda Castillo.
