Mostly interested in capital markets, rule of law, and democracy. Lawyer, traveler, mother, troublemaker.
This is important work. I would bet most people who aren’t extremely angry at life have moved away from Trump over the past year.

I’m just going to assume if you aerosolized Sichuan peppers and sprayed them in people’s eyes as you knelt on their backs, that would be a violation of the Geneva convention.

I was aware he’d started hanging out with the “anti-anti-Trump” crowd but I (mistakenly) assumed he still had more self respect than this.

Crazy that someone who is as familiar with history as Niall would be boarding the Trump train, especially after 2020.

Enjoyed this pod on my way to the airport yesterday and then shared it with several people who could benefit from it. Thanks for making Jeremy’s wisdom conveniently available to the masses (and for the reminder to finally read Devil Take the Hindmost).

Can’t spell deniall without Niall.

Can’t believe I used to take him seriously.

I was a competitive figure skater growing up and while I’m more of a Nathan Chan fan than a Yuzuru Hanyu fan, I (obviously) think Yuzuru is incredible on the ice and he seems like a delightful human…plus it’s so cool that he’s treated like the LeBron James or Wayne Gretzky of Japan.

If Musk had saved a few neighborhoods dive bars instead of turning Twitter into a Nazi bar, he’d probably be happier.

This is an amazing song. I discovered it when one of the best male figure skaters in the world used to have a competition program choreographed to it.

I always picked being the doctor— you got pretty good money up front and a better chance of recovering from plagues.

I’m definitely not perfect, but I’m trying real hard.

Did you somehow miss Oregon trail? Are you that much younger than the Bluesky median?

My husband (regrettably) sometimes says “the R word(s)” (literally, only the letter) and one day my kids asked what the R word was and I said “Republicans” — they’ve never questioned me about that and to the best of my knowledge that’s what they think it’s short for to this day.

Maybe Trump’s (relatively) pro-NATO handlers are trying to distract him by convincing him to invade Antarctica instead?

I was just telling a friend recently “you know, if sophisticated investors were really worried about a private credit crash, you’d see it reflected in the price movement of CDS.”

I guess you don’t see it unless you bother to look.

Does seem like the right thing to do if you actually care about the safety of your athletes, to say nothing of the moral calculation.

…that isn’t even ground level at McNamara. Did somebody drive across the bridge from the parking structure?
January 24, 2026 at 2:54 AM
Can we call him Trumpty Dumpty?

It dead (or on life support at best) because of them and their overseas autocrat buddies.
January 24, 2026 at 2:15 AM
🤣🤣🤣

I’ll take your word for it, but if it’s you or Musk, I’ll take you any day!

Great recommendation— already on my list. I found a few new ones poking around the dialogue on Nakatomi Plaza accords.

That is what she’s saying too.
