I’m 3 weeks into an 8 week recovery from surgery and I have not been wearing my 🍎 watch bc it is a bully! But yesterday I just changed the goals in my activity tracker to align with what I can do now. 🤯 In case anyone else needs a reminder that we control the watch lolol

Over 50% of the U.S. did not vote DT into office. Stop that talking point and start understanding voting statistics. Not quite 64% of eligible voters turned out. Which is a lot but not everyone. DT got 49.8% of that group. Not a mandate. Not 55% of people at all. Precision still matters.

So much talk about how uncomfortable diversity must be for students at universities but no one likes to talk about what it’s like to grade papers where you student talks about the inherent inferiority of women and queer people…I guess because they figure we deserve it?

Our lack of knowledge of history is really clear right now. Folks think the civil rights movement was quick. That one picture of a sit in or march you saw was ONE of hundreds of actions big and small sustained for years. Let’s get it together and lock tf in.

Formal DEI roles have been important to move organizations forward and recognize the labor of folks doing it forever. But it is truly everyone’s work and won’t go away by demonizing it. And if you need a law to prevent you from discriminating you’ve definitely always been doing it. 🤷🏻♀️
