Science Nerd that swears a LOT w/degrees in biochem, nursing. Our home is a bit of a zoo, with the cats and dog. Mom of a grown adult & unsure how that happened. Raised in Northern WI, but now a proud Minnesotan who’s often too direct for the locals.

I wish Ruby Etc was on here. I saved this forever ago because it sums up my feelings at such times.

Pro tip: put one on as a gown with ties to the back and grab another to wear like a robe with ties to the front.

#OnThisDay Oct 8, 1956: Southdale, the first fully enclosed shopping mall in the world, opens in Edina, Minnesota. Architect Victor Gruen, later realizing his invention had not lived up to his utopian vision of a car-free public square, became the biggest critic of malls until his death in 1980.
Mall exterior with Dayton's department store sign in script. Interior of the Mall 1956. Woolworth's with neon sign on the left with other shops surround a central indoor plaza. Wood finishes, skylights, balconies, plants created a wholly new indoor shopping experience. Color transparency by Grey Villet, Life Magazine archives

I’m guessing that since tapioca comes from the cassava plant, there will be lead in it—so like anything from that family you shouldn’t eat it every day. And children/pregnant people should avoid. In adults, frequent exposure can affect the immune system, cause reproductive issues, damage kidneys.

Work really sucked out everything joyful from me, this weekend. I swear, way too many begging people to call 911/go to ER calls as their oxygen is like 80% or something like that. Fuck.

Got done with work and immediately crawled into bed and fell asleep until 6:30 pm. I now have Thai food ordered and gonna curl up with my husband and watch Slow Horses, when it gets delivered.

For all the fall lovers out there, that vertical line coming in on radar represents decorative gourd season. That's our cold front that switches us from August to October. #mnwx
