From their announcement, they indicate they are keeping the classic character creation, Lifepaths, and all of the scifi elements associated with Traveler. As one of my favorite games in the d20 boom era was Dawning Star, I firmly believe this is doable.

Folks seem to assume using a 5e base means you have to use all of D&D. All it means is the dice mechanics & some of the rules definition. People acting like it means you will bring in wizards or Tieflings are displaying a lack of imagination. There are a few games who show that is not required.

Dear headline writers, stop calling the AI a "she/her" or "actress". The AI labeled Tilly Norwood is a product name. It would be like referring to Microsoft Office "he/him." It is not an actual person. it is a collection of algorithms that someone wants to sell to replace an actual actress.

Two things of note.
First, I don't care how pleasantly you say it, how willing you are to have a "debate" afterwards, saying a group of people should be killed is not "civil." Spewing racist & sexist drivel is not "civil."
Second, I don't think I will be buying any more Savage Worlds stuff.

I made it to the gym for the first time since Gencon. I hurt my hip at the con, so I took a bit before I started working out again. I then slowly added walks in neighborhood. This is the first time actually going to the gym again. Took it easy, but still some pain.

This is the crap I have to put up with on YouTube. Heaven forbid I suggest releasing Dark Sun would be a bad idea. I get told "use some self inflicted eugenics" or in simple language, kill myself. Occasionally, parts of the Ttrpg community sicken me and makes me wonder why I bother.

One of the shows cancelled during the pandemic that still bugs me is Stumptown. It was such a good show. It deserved another season or two. Great cast, a wonderful disaster bisexual detective as a main character, and really clever writing.

The reason this version of Superman is so compelling is that it focuses on Superman's compassion and kindness, without making a joke about it being outdated or hokey. I think, now more than ever, we need a story where the hero is kind because that is the right way to be, complexity be damned.
