Hij was ijdel en had branie, maar als producent van films als Turks Fruit en Soldaat van Oranje drukt Rob Houwer wel degelijk een stevig stempel op de Nederlandse filmgeschiedenis. Vrijdag overleed hij, op 87-jarige leeftijd.
