OK, a🧵: Our new paper studies workers' political consciousness in times of class demobilization.

We show there's more to workers' politics than right-wing resentment. Listening to workers, we reconstruct their moral critiques of money, power & recognition.

Trend that was visible in previous polls continues: VVD losing support while CDA is gaining. PVV slightly ahead of GL/PvdA and CDA. Beyond these four parties, others are below 10% (D66 and JA21) or 5% (another 9 parties)

If we don’t say “2026 MEN World Cup”, we should not say “2025 WOMEN European Cup”.

Reject the “male norm” and just say “UEFA Euro 2025”, as there is no other one, so gender qualifications are unnecessary!

Similarly, tag #EURO2025 rather than #WEURO2025

Key findings: Immigrant local politicians conceive political integration and other forms of integration as equally important. Non-immigrant politicians view political integration as subordinate to other forms of integration. Moreover, immigrants are described as inherently mistrusting of politics.
