Dearest Audiobook Lovers, please share your recommendations. I am obsessed with the performances of Xe Sands for McKinley’s Deerskin and Perdita Weeks for Miller’s Circe. I seek more in kind. ♥️
The thing they have not yet understood is that some people in history had hope that they could barter suffering for mercy. That hope is gone. We know how deep the hate runs. We must be their worst nightmare. Make it hell.

This is everything you need to know about Poilievre.
He is their guy on the inside.
I will never ever vote on anything brought forward by this man.
He is fundamentally unfit for public office.

Pierre Poilievre's senior advisor doubles as a Loblaw Lobbyist.

Galen Weston has donated to his party.

There is no chance Conservatives will ever stand up to Greedy CEOs no matter how many times they cheat you.

If you want someone with the guts to take on CEOs - that's New Democrats.

First they told us climate change was a myth.
Then they told us wind/solar didn't work.
Then they told us they weren't economic.
Then they told us they contributed very little to our energy needs.
Then they told us they were too successful and we needed to restrict them.

The best part of their sudden and faux environmental awakening is that the govt has passed a law that forgives oil and gas for the cleanup of discarded waste and facilities. They are literally encouraging oil and gas to ignore cleaning up after themselves going forward.

Even if Covid was “mild” (it’s not)…wouldn’t it still be worth preventing in hospital?

We’ve learned a lot about airborne disease spread - why aren’t we implementing better infection control

I’ve gotten an infection almost every time I’ve been hospitalized. We CAN do better.

Love how Palestinians are sending their IDs to American tech companies because random assholes are reporting them as frauds- This I am sure will have no consequences in future because there is no history of the Israeli government colluding with American tech companies

Can’t believe I just read that shit.

Anyways just putting this here so I don’t break my streak of never telling someone online to stop being alive.

Why does my disability need to be a superpower? Can't it just be a thing that sucks and needs accommodating?
I can't stand the superpower narrative. It's not special or magic to be autistic or have a disability. It's human, and boring and needs understanding not weird fetishization.

It says a lot about the value of propaganda around 'civility' and 'order' that so many people believe the below statement to actually be true.

In this mode of thinking, a person can make knowing choices that kill hundreds of thousands, but it isn't "violence."

Do you see the problem?

Deleted a previous version with incorrect wording.

Technically, Meta makes data available, data brokers grab it, and due to a lack of privacy protections, China or anyone can buy data from those brokers (steps are being taken to crack down on this, but an opaque ecosystem makes it hard to track)

The TikTok ban ruling is just so laughable.

If the issue is the China link, Meta has shared US data with Huawei.

Meanwhile, only one platform is coming under this kind of scrutiny.

And it just so happens to be the ONLY platform where news influencers with left-leaning views outpace the right.
