Introverted, and happily so. Caretaker and guardian of many animals.

Complex and seemingly contradictory, but ultimately congruent.

Here are some vertical Colorado fall color images I captured this year. It was a fun year for tighter, more intimate scenes like these. I experimented a lot with my 110mm macro and used it for non-macro work. I hope you enjoy them!

Gorgeous sidelight graces two beautiful guanacos, a moment of serenity and beauty, a brief respite from Patagonia's harsh and unforgiving mountain wilderness they call home.

~When the sun and wind meet~

Why this picture title? The picture showed me what is possible when wind and sun meet. This morning the wind whipped waves onto the water and the sun.

Always nice to see a moose while out in the woods. Also a note that wildlife photographers have long lenses that make subjects look much closer than they are. Always wise to give moose a lot of space! #wildlife #moose

Perched quietly, yet watching everything. This little owl carried an intensity in its gaze that stopped me in my tracks.

Did you know? The Spotted Owlet’s large yellow eyes are perfectly adapted for night vision, allowing it to spot prey even in near darkness.

I’m excited to have come first place in the Woodlands category in the @natural-landscapes.bsky.social awards with this photo ‘Remnant of time’.
It was taken on an exceptionally cold morning with a thick frost encrusting the Caledonian forest. Congrats to other winners, organisers and judges. #nlpa
