NFTs!!
One thing I'm still mad about is, NFTs could perfectly easily have contained a hash of the image, and not depend on an url staying up. Also they were terrible in every other way, but c'mon, at least get the cryptography right!

It’s late but I think tomorrow we should all make NFTs the main character. No reason, it’s not like they’re coming back. It was just the most comically stupid tech scam and we deserve to laugh at sloppy failure.

Oh - bake casseroles and cookies and drop them off at your neighbors out of the blue and for no reason. Use disposable containers so they don’t feel they have to return the favor. Smile and wave at everyone as you drive down your street. Get a second cat to keep your first cat company.

Morning activity: scanning through this book by @bvlsingler.bsky.social which I found while looking for scholarly sources tracing the origin of the "count the fingers count the knuckles" means of determining if something is fey. I'd love to know if there are earlier instances of this!

Confession: I've never understood what the difference is between a taxonomy and an ontology.
Someone should make some kind of thing that clearly defines what the categories are and how they relate to each other.
