Ondulé weaving.

January is my down time. I do some weaving and catch up with admin but otherwise I work on projects for « me ». I’m currently spinning wool for a jumper.

Last day (one week ago)

Tomorrow there will be less than 10 days to go before the end of the exhibition. I can do this !

I had every intention of reporting on @lornasixsmith.bsky.social new book but the show has been so busy I’m still on chapter. 2! Loving it though. Just what I needed to get me through the quiet times.
I do need more sales though!

To survive an 18 day exhibition I have to cut it (mentally) into chunks. So, at the end of today there will only be another two weeks. I can do two weeks.
Yesterday I sold 4 scarves which helps - weekdays are always quieter.

All set up - opening tomorrow

Back in silk! 15kgs arrived and I managed to get two more scarves woven and priced over the weekend. Off to Le Mans on Friday for the last show of the year.

I spent yesterday making glasses cases from handwoven silk samples. Always popular at the shows and handy gifts at this time of year.

I use Fibonacci a lot in my weaving. It is a very handy formula. This scarf uses it in both warp and weft

Another bit of fun. I have a few more fringes to finish before I can wash this lot of scarves and put them in the box for the exhibition.

I’ve (temporarily) run out of silk so I have a choice. The first is to weave a « leftovers » scarf : lots of colours altogether. The second is to stop weaving for the year, get prepared for the long (18 day) exhibition starting 6 December and relax.

Hurray. The details for the exhibition in Le Mans have arrived. It starts on Friday 6 December and I’ll be there until 23 December. 30 exhibitors each week. Do come along if you can.
