Who, me?

Don't mind me, this page is where I word-vomit any and all errant thoughts that cross my brain in clipped, jocular fashion. It's like journaling but by way of making quips for the sake of brevity
Nice of them to let someone's 14-year-old gamer son who's just discovered photoshop design this UI for them. Validating kid's hobbies is important

This is true of a lot of rhetoric/storytelling, by the way. You can get a lot of mileage out of a bad joke if it's told well. With skill, one can persuade people into accepting ridiculous arguments if they're framed properly. And a mediocre story can connect with an audience on presentation alone

It's a difference of substance vs. presentation, see. A joke that requires deep or niche knowledge is unlikely to hit. But a sensible joke presented in a way that makes the reader feel smart for getting it has much wider appeal

Unless you're some kind of game streamer, that is. No greater joy than watching someone bumble through Quantic Dream games for the first time, except maybe Deadly Premonition

I think it's also why a lot of people on here have trouble with jokes. Their heart is in the right place but damn if a lot of folks don't let discourse get the better of them in here

I believe a lot of people have an unhealthy relationship with The Scrolling App, and when The Scrolling App becomes Bluesky (which by its nature tends to attract certain kinds of highly-online individuals) the constant flood of rage and doomspeak on the timeline drives some people insane
