We need more journalists who don’t pretend the rising wave of right-wing inspired transphobia, racism, misogyny, predation, authoritarianism, homophobia and corruption is something they should shrug at and say “we can’t take sides”

Which ofc is taking a side.

Trans people are the only group of people where rape is an acceptable part of a prison sentence. When a person is convicted of a crime, they're given a prison sentence, fine, probation, etc. Not "6 years plus constant rape".

The majority of cis people don’t care about the actual lives of trans people.

Mainstream media frames our existence as a debate and uplifts junk science, most especially the NYT.
