Who has two thumbs and a 12 hour ER wait before my next grippy sock vacation? This girl! I swear I’ve been on more of those than actual fucking vacations.
Great characters, great show (which I'd probably like even more as I've gotten older), fuck Aniplex for making it imposible to watch legally. I have the DVDs but one of them fell out of it's caddy during shipping years ago and I don't know if it would work,
Isn’t this what Liberty University does? Throw around financial aid like candy in the hopes of bringing people through the doors who don‘t fully understand the authoritarian environment they’re entering?
This. Though for some of us, part of getting out of that phase was realizing we weren’t actually men at all.

I am an average American millennial man. I had a libertarian phase when I was a politically illiterate teenager, and then steadily moved left as I experienced real life. I don't feel like this is an unusual trajectory.
i actually don’t think the “average” american millennial man had a nazi phase. it’s not some boys will be boys shit. this makes me side eye you and your friend group, sounds like a personal problem
My parents were told by the doctor who diagnosed me with autism that I’d never graduate high school or live on my own. I’ve done both, struggling more with the finances of the latter more than the life skills, I got my Masters degree this year and I’m working on my PhD.

Childhood is not destiny.
Either way, it’s not something to be proud of. As hard as it was to drop out of school, work shitty jobs that I couldn’t handle and come out to myself as trans years before actually transitioning, I shudder to think what I’d be life if I hadn’t gotten that reality check.
The closest I had was a libertarian phase and I grew out of that pretty quickly once life dickslapped me in the face.

I was always at least socially progressive. Unlike my friend from High School who once told me he would kill any gay soldier that was sleeping near him. This was in 2010, BTW.
At the same time, it seems like nobody investigated the internet activity of the killers. Maybe because it would show they were fans of a certain famous author.
This is some fucking Do The Right Thing John Turturro kind of racism.
I was not expecting to see gemstone Goatse on my timeline today. Then again, when would I ever expect to see gemstone Goatse on my timeline?
I downloaded some movies onto the Amazon Prime app to watch on a train for when I lost cell service. Problem is, despite downloading them, it still wanted to connect to the internet to verify. I ended up watching Hundreds of Beavers as it was the only one I got to load consistently. Fucking Amazon.
That movie did so many things well that the bullshit centrism stands out even more. Then again, he did thank Helen Lewis in the end credits.
I wonder if the Chumbawamba “Scab Aid“ parody is more relevant. Either way, it’s definitely a thing.

women do not have a right to put me in danger.

women do not have a right to dictate my healthcare.

women do not have a right to get me raped.

women do not have a right to segregate me from the general population.

transphobia is not women’s rights. transphobia is not feminism.

This. I get told all the time that "women shouldn't have to share a bathroom with someone with a penis" - as though we see anyone else's genitals in the toilets anyway, they're called CUBICLES!!

But we're not a threat to cis women, we are however 8x more likely to be raped or beaten in the men's

It was a Book of Mormon reference. The character in the musical is called General Butt Fucking Naked, not just General Butt Naked like in real life.
That‘s General Butt Fucking Naked to you!
I do think the question “are the bricks worth protecting?” is a valid one. Not everyone is a photogenic model or actress. Most of us transition way to late to be a “doll”.
There should be several attempts to negotiate an agreement, including on the day of, but at the same time the de-personalization of social media has caused truly horribly people to gain power (Matt Walsh, anyone who joked about Charlotte Fosgate, etc).

So basically this, minus the wanton violence:

I genuinely believe in bringing back Hamilton-Burr style duels. Between grifters, corrupt politicians and general assholes, we've gotten way too comfortable with talking shit without the fear of getting hit.

Do everything above board and mutually agreed upon and society will change pretty quickly.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
AI poop, no less. Poop that doesn't actually exist!

people playing music/videos on their phone speakers in public is more than just mildly annoying and is instead a leading indicator of the decline of community and empath

The ability to create trans sims is literally one of two things that Sims 4 does better than Sims 3. The other is that it doesn't run like boiled piss. I'm worried that it will get removed by EA with their new Saudi / Kushner owners.
You do know that long COVID causes significant health problems, including literal brain damage. Each infection is like playing Russian Roulette. Do you think you could win 3 games of Russian Roulette in a row? That's what getting COVID multiple times is like.
