I read a lot, and I reread a lot. It's good!
My wide profile picture is Bernie Sanders with Totoro and the girls, by ‪Kevin Sukho Lee! kevinsukholee.bsky.social
Nice retro-radio at the local shop!

I'm also reading the e-book John Laurens and the American Revolution, by Gregory D. Massey. I'm only 21% in, but it is a very good read. I'm learning quite a lot from the biographies. Sometimes very pointed statements about slavers' hypocrisy.

💙📚 💡📚 I read a lot, both audiobooks and non. Right now, I'm listening to The Anti-Federalist Papers and the Constitutional Convention Debates, edited by Ralph Ketcham, read by Sean Runnette. It's quite something. The delegates were worried about what's finally come to pass. Good book to read.

This was a little hard, because some comic covers that I used to love now grate the wrong way. However! However, I did find one.

I ran across a Model Contest show! I love these things, they’re all quite beautiful! Or intricate, and just generally really cool!

#baking So I stumbled upon star-shaped silicon molds in the back corner of my cupboard. It was necessary to test them on some of my remaining Super Soft Pumpkin Cookie dough!

When you hear that a cooking school is having a festival, you must attend! And spend more than you should.

I currently believe that these two insects might both be leafhoppers. Ah, #insects

It’s good to have the ability to get necessary vaccinations! The latest for the flu (Influenza) and COVID 19.

💙📚 💡📚 ⏳📚 That's one long title. www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13545 Originally published in 1915, it includes a very important discussion about woman's suffrage in Chapter 6. "I felt, once you recognized the injustice done woman in not allowing them to vote, you would feel differently. And since women~

📚💙 📚💡The Ark Before Noah: Decoding the Story of the Flood, by Irving Finkel. It was a pleasure to read, and to learn about the stories of old, and to see many photos of Cuneiform tablets, boats, locations, the writing. Fantastic! Wall, wall! Reed wall, reed wall!

Finally got around to watching episode 1 of Agatha Christie's #MARPLE! It's a delight, and full of familiar faces (and sometimes voices). Geraldine McEwan a delight, and I love Joanna Lumley. Have since Sapphire & Steel. Jack Davenport, once Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean!

My cat and the new scratching post! I will not use as much catnip in the future. This kitty has heart problems. We try to keep things peaceful around him.

📚💙 🩸 Reading a few collections of short horror stories in a row can result in nightmares! I have read Bears Discover Fire, and Other Stories; After the People Lights Have Gone Off; and Out There Screaming. Some stories seem to end as if there is more to come. Three in a row!

📚💙 🌶️⚡️🩸 I am fond of Charlaine Harris's books. I'm reading The Complete Sookie Stackhouse Stories right now, and Small Town Wedding strikes far harder now than it did the first time. This is a pleasure to read.

I use the #bluesky #moderation service. My chosen settings I made ample use of Hide, some uses of Warn, and one use of Show badge. This helps quite a lot. You can profoundly control what you might get by accident. And you can always read comments to see the other.

📚💙 📚🌶️ 📚🎧 Today I did random-audiobook-thru-library. Shield of Sparrows by Devney Perry. 10% in and it's good so far. It's described as a slow-burn, high-stakes romance. But the blurb references 4th Wing, and quite frankly I hope it's not much like that. Reader reviews sound promising! Odessa, well.

Today I stared at my shelf and realized I have a box of Tokla #Masala Tea. I happen to be quite fond of Masala, so I followed some directions and accidentally made myself two mugs of tea. It's a bit thin, so over time I will work out the ratio. I'm pleased, though!

#mcdonalds rather expected a larger amount in this container. I think this is the last time I will buy one of these, even with a coupon.

Found outside, and probably not long for the world. I was able to show it to some children, who were delighted and astounded that it is a real #butterfly. Hestina assimilis invasive species, though.

#cooking I made Hambagu! Well, more than less. The base recipe comes from www.justonecookbook.com/hamburger-st... but I don’t have any red wine, and I only had ground beef. However, I largely followed the recipe and it was delicious!

#movie #gifted It's a lovely movie. Saw it for my first time today. Everyone was great in it, and I am familiar with McKenna Grace from later projects. She was so tiny! I'm looking forward to seeing her in Regretting You. Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer are always a pleasure to watch in action.
