I’m not sure if “unity is our strength“ sounds better in German, Italian or, now, American English.

Trump at the UN: no one takes him seriously; he’s just a fool to be placated, flattered, and manipulated.

First amendment trashed on Constitution Day—has anyone noted that detail?

We? No, sir, YOU lost India. This is a grand strategic failure and there’s no one to blame but you.

Looks like we've lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together! President Donald J. Trump

Remember: the National Guard Troops you see on the streets of Washington, DC, are, generally speaking, all removed from their civilian jobs, their homes, their families, and their lives--"patrolling" an American city with their service weapons.

One of those things I will always share again when it comes up in my memories.

Comics hold valuable lessons and always have. Now, more than ever.

Heinrich: And what was really stunning to me as someone who has been in a lot of these press conferences a few things very unusual. You had Putin come out and address the press first. We are on U.S. Soil here

You know what would actually reduce crime and homelessness?

Universal healthcare, free education, affordable housing and a basic living wage.

When people have their most basic needs met, they have happier and healthier lives.

Those hoarding the wealth don’t want to give us those things.

Very nice of @wbur.org's Chloe Axelson to feature #AmericanNationd and our related work at Nationhood Lab. She saw some links between the US regional cultures and some of their points of origin on the other side of the Atlantic. www.wbur.org/cognoscenti/...
Where — and who — we come from
While on vacation with her family, Cog editor Cloe Axelson saw examples from historian Colin Woodward's book, "American Nations," at every turn.
