Today, because of an error by my school district’s former CFO, 60+ educators in my district were told they do not have a job next year - so many are young, dedicated educators who fought for their students in giving them a better education.

Maybe I’m a masochist as an English teacher…but I feel grading essays with personal feedback is vital for students improving and students value the feedback so much. Also, often, the essays are enjoyable to read
