I guess this is the same world in which Artificial Intelligence, which, so far, has proven itself to be dumb as a box of rocks, is being touted by people whose only claim to power is lots of money successfully swindled out of the general population.

Somehow I've missed the profiles of people in Nashville / Austin / Houston / Kansas City MO / Charlotte / etc who have been gerrymandered out of "fair" representation.
They Wanted a Conservative State. They Might Get a Democratic Representative Instead.

Oh my.
Oh?
🧵For those who missed it, another familiar name appears in the latest tranche of Epstein files.

Nicholas Tartaglione--the former NY cop sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of 4 men.

The same dirty ex-cop who was put in Epstein's cell with him at the Metropolitan Correctional Center

Headline that would fit the same space, and better match reporting in the article:

"Private Letters Show Trump Escalating
Demands on Harvard"

Also, this is not a "duel." It's extortion. And, the actual story makes that clear!

On International Anti-Corruption Day, it’s worth remembering how Trump has turned the pardon power into a pay-to-play enterprise to reward wealthy donors and political allies while leaving victims in the dust 🧵

Take note, MAGA.
It's International Anti-Corruption Day.

Some of Trump’s most blatant acts of corruption are well-known by now—the crypto coin; the pardons for friends and donors.

Less known are a series of corrupt policy moves that are raising costs for you and your family.

Some examples ⬇️

To top it off, Custer and his troops also killed 800 of the Indians' horses in an effort to limit Indigenous mobility and subsistence. The US in its "Indian Wars" attempted to destroy not only Indigenous peoples but also entire Indigenous ecosystems.

I'm not sure how to say this any more simply. ACA premium tax credits are for people, not insurer. People receiving a tax credit can use it to buy any plan in the ACA marketplace. As an administrative mechanism, the government then forwards the tax credit to the chosen insurer.

Buckle up everyone--here is my response to the second video in the White House/Hillsdale college series on "American Independence." (spoiler: the second video is every bit as bad as the first one)
As a historian, I have been torturing myself by watching some of the series that the White House in cooperation with Hillsdale College produced about American Independence (tellingly, they avoid the word "revolution").

There are so many errors that it is hard to know where to begin. But I'll try

Didn't even know this existed. I appreciate your service for the cause. It's worth a read, people, and the thread only covers the first 7 minutes, lol.
