Thank goodness the influencer following the homeland security secretary around while she avoids actual Oregon reporters was there to ask important questions about a country artist.
Twitter post: BREAKING: Secretary Kristi Noem flames country singer Zach Bryan.

I just asked Noem about the new Zach Bryan song attacking ICE. Noem went scorched-earth calling the woke singer “completely disrespectful” to the law enforcement that protect him.

Secretary Noem: "I hope Zach Bryan understands how completely disrespectful that song is, not just to law enforcement but to this country, to every single individual that has ever stood up and fought for our freedoms. He just compromised it all by putting out a product such as that attacks individuals who are just trying to make our streets safe."

"Zach, I didn't listen to your music. I'm happy about that today. Today, that makes me very happy that I never once gave you a single penny to enrich your lifestyle. I am going to go out and probably download some Jason Aldean, John Rich, Kid Rock, and Jon Pardi songs.”

@Sec_Noem
says she will be boycotting Zach Bryan.

Right-wing influencer David Medina was picked by DHS to cover Secretary Noem’s Portland visit. He shows his audience “like maybe five or ten protesters,” seemingly supporting what Oregon leaders have been saying about the ICE protests: unremarkable unless ICE officers use riot control agents.

Meanwhile Noem allowed local social media streamer David Medina to ride in with her.

Noem appears to have arrived? Not sure how long we’ll be blocked from the street outside ICE processing facility. I can say unequivocally she did not witness anything she claims is happening at this facility, as she entered the facility…

DHS police taking down protest signs in preparation for Noem’s arrival. Apparently streamer Benny Johnson will be with her to video but actual press are being kept a block away….

Ahead of Homeland Security Sec. Kristi Noem’s expected visit to the Portland ICE facility, a small protest crowd and a catchy song with the lyrics “Trump is in the Epstein files (yes he is).”

Eye-popping scope and amazing design here. Highlighting two examples from Oregon, where the Oregon Food Bank missed out on at least 1.4 million pounds of food.

Last note before bedtime: Four years ago today, the @oregoncapitalchronicle.com officially launched and also Fred licked his own nose outside. You’ll hear more about the birthday this week, but your support is the thing that keeps OCC going (and that cat fed): oregoncapitalchronicle.com/donate/

Probably about 100 people here total. VERY subdued. A dominoes pizza delivery guy just easily sailed through to drop off some pies and went on with his night.

VERY chill out here tonight at ICE processing facility south of downtown Portland. Federal Judge (Immergut, appointed by Trump) just made ruling from the bench no federalized Guard to Portland from anywhere period.

It was a watercolor weekend in this beautiful state, the only things on fire are the leaves on some trees and it would be really cool if the news could chill so we could all enjoy Oregon’s best season.

Saying the Trump administration directly contravened her Saturday order blocking the federal government from mobilizing National Guard troops in Portland, judge bars the federal government from relocating National Guard members to Oregon from any state.

Federal judge bars National Guard from any states being ordered to Portland • Oregon Capital Chronicle
After Judge Karin Immergut's Saturday order the federal government sought to deploy first California and then Texas troops.

And that's it for the hearing. Updated story tk; @alexbaumhardt.bsky.social is on the ground outside the ICE facility and reports about 150 protesters present.

Immergut's second order, given from the bench, will prohibit the relocation or deployment of any federalized national guard to Oregon.

Immergut grants second motion for a temporary restraining order, says question is about scope. Originally viewed it just as enjoining members of CA National Guard to OR but now she's troubled by hearing of TX.

Kennedy says they need to broaden the motion to encompass the National Guard of any state plus D.C. given that Trump administration keeps finding new states.

"It feels a little bit like we're playing a game of rhetorical whack-a-mole here."

Federal attorney insists sending already-federalized troops to Portland is different because they didn't federalize new troops. Immergut isn't buying it.

Federal attorney also trying to say Oregon, Portland and California don't have standing. And that if a new TRO is issued they'll seek a stay.
