I realized that ai have been talking a lot about DC and Marvel comics a lot on here, so I'm going to highlight one comic a day owned by actual people, not gigantic corporations. These will all be comics I like so I hope more people check them out, even though my reach is small. Feel free to join in!
The cover of EAT THE RICH trade paperback, written by Sarah Gailey, with art by Pius Bak and Roman TItiov. The cover is illustrated by Becca Carey, depicting a finger and eye on the same for as steaks that contain the words "Eat the rich". The letterer is Cardinal Rae. The cover of the first trade of POWERS, written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Michael Avon Oeming and Pat Garrahy. The cover of the first trade paperback for ASSORTED CRISIS EVENTS, written by Deniz Camp with art by Eric Zawadski, colors by Jordie Bellaire, and letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. I’m not a doctor but I spent my summer after high school working at a facility with at least two dozen dementia patients, so I know what different types look like at different stages, and I am 100% certain he has dementia.

"That's the point – the smudge, the rough line, the hesitation - that's what makes my work come alive." - Jim Lee talking about why DC will never use AI storytelling. "AI doesn't dream, feel or make art, it aggregates it."

@jimlee.bsky.social speaking very passionately at Retailer Day. #nycc

I wasn’t going to see the movie anyway, but now when I don’t see it I can feel morally superior about it

I can’t believe I actually watched an episode of that show. Spite is a powerful marketing tool

Also yeah, being chummy with Hogsett is a red flag for any dem candidate. My city councilor stuck with Hogsett and wouldn’t you know it he (allegedly) groped an 18 year old this summer

The part about saying “gosh” seven times is funny to me. I’ve lived in Indianapolis my whole life and nobody says “gosh” here

I could be wrong, but Dems should be centering entirely around messaging that Stephen Miller is the defacto POTUS despite no one voting for him and he's keeping a dementia ridden stroke victim Weekend at Bernies puppet in office while he illegally usurps control.
theatlantic.com
Stephen Miller is portraying opposition to Donald Trump in any form, including by judges issuing legal rulings, as an illegal rebellion, Jonathan Chait argues:
Stephen Miller Lays Out the Plan in Public
The White House aide equates opposition to Trump’s agenda with terrorism—and pushes for the use of state power to suppress it.

I am not a medical professional. I did, however spent my summer after high school working at an adult day center with about two dozen dementia patients, so I know what dementia can look like to different people and at different stages. I am 99% certain he has dementia. But again, not a doctor.

depiction of both fantastical elements and the city of Mumbai. The more simplistic but vibrant colors work with the sketchy, diverse character design to give a unique, surreal feel to this comic. This is definitely worth a read.

The cover of issue #3. A woman is looking at you from the corner of her eyes while she puffs red smoke out of her cigarette, with said smoke coagulating in a red cloud above her. The cover of issue #5. A woman with six arms is walking among the clouds, bending her back so her face looks at the sky, but her eyes are closed.

This is a recent read for me, and one of the reasons Ram V is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers in the business. With Laila Starr, V shows of his proficiency in tackling high concepts grounded in deeply real humanity. The art from Andrade and Amaro is great too, beautiful in its
