Happy Birthday in heaven to my sister Jill. I miss you every day, and I'll have a gin and tonic tonight in your memory. Sisters are different flowers from the same garden.

It's fox kit season here on Prince Edward Island and one of my most relaxing things to do is go out and observe these beauties.

My "assistant ", as I try to sort recipes. So far she has confiscated my pen, stolen a shiny paper clip, demanded ear skritchums, and volunteered as a paperweight. It's going well. Payment in treats of course.

It's "Gotcha Day". Five years ago, Maud left her cage at the Humane Society to live with me. She's my little ray of sunshine, and she keeps me on my toes. #adoptdon'tshop

Thank you to my friend Will for introducing me to this. The performer says that he "plays the piano a bit." It's worth your time, and you may never hear this song in the same way again.

Happy 150th birthday to Lucy Maud Montgomery! Her books still resonate with so many readers. I hope that she would approve that I named my cat Maud in her honour. (Montgomery had 4 cats)

And, that's a wrap. 75 tours and 800+ guests later, the Church tour season has ended. From the ghost story, to the story of the window obtained as the result of an election wager, I've enjoyed sharing the tales of the beautiful Kirk of St James.
