I voted for Harris/Walz. This is prob all anyone needs to know about my values, but I also love art, books, politics, fixing up my 1940s house, science, my cat and chickens, and my daughter is my favorite human on the planet who’s also a badass artist

I’m interested in politics, art, books, science, libraries, and random thoughts. I’m sort of random sometimes. And I almost know no one on here I’ve realized.

Good morning! A bill was introduced where divorce would only be allowed if both parties agreed and after 5 hours of counseling. My advice for anyone not already married: don’t get married.

The energy of this moment is so different from 2016 and I genuinely hope we can lean on each other. I’m seeing a lot of “resist” energy and I’m not feeling it

I’m just going to say this: I don’t think white liberals in my city have learned anything from this election based on the actions and suggestions and it terrifies me

I have a feeling I’m not going to love this soup. I like sautéed mushrooms but I don’t love mushrooms. But the photos when people make it always looked so good I decided to try it. I have 4 more ingredients to add, then it’s done

I spoke with one of my neighbors yesterday who voted for trump and he said he believed he would bring us universal basic income. Honestly, I don’t even know what to say to these people. I told him this admin would never do that. These people are in for an ugly surprise

I also live in an old house so I sometimes talk about fixing things. It’s become a hobby of mine and I love doing it now. That hasn’t always been the case.

One thing that’s helping me get through the election results is I’ve carved out more time to distance run in the mornings and take walks or hikes in the evening after dinner if I eat early enough. It’s surprisingly helpful just to be outside
