NEW: last night, the US govt launched an assault on the ‘global censorship industrial complex’, aka European tech researchers/campaigners.

It’s a deeply chilling move & speaks as to why we need international solidarity more than ever.

Last night, the US launched an all-out assault on the "global censorship industrial complex", I respond with some deep breaths, solidarity and a vibey video (it's all I have)

America set out to Pacify The Middle East and now, there isn’t a country between Libya and Afghanistan that isn’t either a cooperative client state or a smashed, ungovernable hellhole that can’t defend itself. There will never be any accountability for what these people have done.

So, just to confirm, the BBC can’t keep Robin Ince on the air because his trans allyship brings the organisation into disrepute, but they can keep David Walliams, who performed Nazi salutes at the recording of this very show, on the air despite him being predatory towards women. Cool. Very normal.

Grimly amusing here: a bullshit PR campaign supposedly created because an MP was murdered by a Nazi, that was instead used to stoke terror of ordinary punters correctly calling right wing Labour MPs Tories and bullshit artists, now being sanctioned by America’s white supremacist crackpot rulers.

Yes: politicians and commentators fully understood that their job was to hammer the public with an avalanche of hatred, blame and fear, because they needed to sell appalling, World War II levels of destruction and massacre. So they did that, as hard as they could.

There has been a relentless, cacophonous campaign to stigmatise pro-Palestinian activists. But the inconvenient truth is that these are just ordinary people of good conscience who see the horrors of Gaza and simply cannot bear to stand by and do nothing.

'an investigation' you mean they finally decided to report on stuff they've known about/been sitting on for years in spite of the fact this would mean walliams still at large with privileged access to further young women whose lives he could ruin??
David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher following an investigation by The Telegraph into inappropriate behaviour towards young women. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/12...

The increasing convergence of mainstream media organisations, clickbait and the far-right has been one of the worst parts of 2025.

As Rachel Coldicutt has pointed out, by not publishing the detail of the questions, the government’s new AI agency gets the headlines but tells us very little. The question included “social communication“ - if I‘ve ever let Gmail’s LLM autocomplete an email sentence, am I included in this figure?

Context for this: the police acknowledge that they have been told this is not a crime. Barring legislation to make it a crime in the meantime: how happy are we with legislators saying they welcome police arresting people that they know have not committed a criminal offence?
