Everton were scheduled for a daft KO time in the hope the world could watch them spiral through another relegation crisis.

Kevin Thelwell’s time at Everton is set to end with EFC in a much stronger place than when he arrived.

David Moyes sought to take the positives from Beto’s missed one on ones last night, essentially saying he is getting so many of them no-one can argue his recent form has been a ‘fluke’.

Everton’s players - the few who are fit - have been pushed to the limit. With safety all but secured, Brentford pushing hard on a freezing night, and a flight to the Gulf waiting, they could have faded to a tired defeat. Instead they carried on fighting ⬇️

Hard to take in the end, that. Everton comfortably better side for 70 mins.
Disappointing to blow that lead but that penalty decision baffling.
Thought there were 2 fouls on Young, not one. No idea how original call was deemed so bad it needed reviewing
