senate dems are expecting to get a lot of credit for doing SOMETHING.
i am not at all sure that public opinion, especially among D primary voters, has not already left that option well behind.
maybe im wrong. but if they take a fig leaf and think they’ll get hosannahs for it … i’d not be so sure.
