A few years later, a band I was in - Wellphead - sent our demo tape to Alternative Tentacles. We got a lovely letter back from Jello, and ended up with a track on the Gruesome Stains LP released by the UK sister label, Workers Playtime.

Ah bless. A pigeon got trapped in the netting I put over my broccoli plants in the yard last year. I cut her out but she had a dropped wing and couldn't fly. I took her to a rescue centre in Lytham. They named her Patricia, and released her in Blackpool then sent me the footage.

My albums. Can't be arsed to go through my singles, but Spike Milligan's Tape Recorder always my fave. 1st gig I put on in Leicester was Membranes 1985. Venue: King's Head. Support: Tebbit Under Rubble, Marmite Sisters(?). Got the poster somewhere. Do you remember that gig, John?

17 years today since I last played a gig: Rebellion Festival, Blackpool, with Attila the Stockbroker's Barnstormer. I really need to sort something out and get playing again.

Cooking the evening meal to this. Saw them once in a small bar in Leamington Spa. I remember Andy Kershaw being there. Everyone was dancing non stop all night.
