From Leicester. Lives in Lancashire. Aged punk rocker and Leicester City fan.
I liked Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld's stance with "Seinfeld": 'No hugging, no learning".

Bought that day of release. As I did the Hanx album. Hopped off the school bus to walk into Leicester city centre.

First band I ever saw live. They were supporting Boomtown Rats on their 1979 tour.

I was at the Vice Squad gig too. Down the front. Last Rockers as an encore. The bit where it speeds up saw my glasses go flying. Found them at the end of the gig utterly wrecked.

Actually, it might have been British Movement. Either way, what happened inside the venue and outside was really horrible. There was a fella selling burgers outside the venue who they surrounded and tried to push over his van whilst he was inside it. Presumably because he wasn't white.

I was at that gig. As was usual for punk gigs at the time, I was handed flyers on the way in. Wasn't until I got home that I looked at them, to discover they were from the British Nationalist Party. The continual stage invasions and violence were clearly an organised attack by the far right.

Cravats, Only Ones, and, dare I say it, Cockney Rejects are all fabulous. Didn't know about that Vic record. Must investigate as he is a genius.

That would be the LP where he sings all the right notes?

Fictional: Robert Scarborough Ferris. Real: Emile Ivanhoe Heskey.

Discharge supporting Slade. I never knew that that happened.

My favourite Fall record. The definitive rant.

Proof that the whole vaccine project established by the Establishment is partly funded by Tesco broccoli growers and broccoli. Or something similarly incoherent.

I knew Julz in the late 80s when we both worked for Rough Trade Distribution. She was in charge of the warehouse at Collier St, and I managed the sales office in Warwick. She came up numerous times. Lost touch when RT went under. But we made contact again on Facebook shortly before she died.

Those three Eno produced albums are all great, tbf.

Talksport news is as depressing: they had the bloke from Operation Raise The Colours on yesterday afternoon as a response to Gary Neville.

Some big names in the Baggies, then.

That's a lovely little documentary. But, the half time team talk, involving Leyton Orient, made me think of this part of "Leyton Orient: Club For A Fiver"; possibly the best football documentary ever. "And you can bring your effing dinner".

Love Lee Perry and The Only Ones particularly.

It's difficult to listen to him with the same innocence we used to have, isn't it? But, there are loads of artists who have questionable politics. Given what I know about musicians I used to love, but have met, I try to compartmentalise it. Otherwise I would listen to hardly anything.

That's lovely. And she clearly had great taste.

I've had the pleasure of putting Vic on in Leicester several times. Lovely fella but questionable dress sense. He once turned up in his postie gear wearing sandals with socks.

Such a great live band. I'd rather be the devil...
