Made French onion soup for the first time tonight. very good but took sooooooo long. Next time I do it I'm going to cook the onions at a higher temp. I was worried about burning them and it took forever to caramelize.

Staring on fall project of a new brick walkway up to the front of our house. This doesn't have any sand under it and isn't level yet so it will come back out, but I needed to see how the pattern looked.

Being fat has always been a different experience for men/boys and women/girls, but for me this ESPN spread with Prince Fielder was a transformative moment in how I thought about my body and I'm eternally grateful to both ESPN and Fielder for doing it.

Don't know if I'll count this as a new hyperfixation or a return to my barista roots. Very basic, used machine, but fun to be pulling shots and steaming milk again!

Played my oldest guitar this morning, the one that started life as a beat up $15 Goodwill purchase and currently lives with a custom paisley pick guard and lipstick pickups. I love it, and it great sound this morning!

it was wild to see Sara Nelson running with "We're Not Going Back" as a campaign slogan. How'd that work out in 2024? Seems like given where we are now there's a lot of voters who would like to go back to a time when the council actually worked.
