"The wisdom of the wise and the experience of the ages is perpetuated by quotation." - Benjamin Disraeli
“There’s becoming a reckoning in Britain that needs to happen in the United States,” Massie said then. “A prince lost his title. The ambassador to the United States lost his job. We need to see those … kind of consequences here.”

Anyone else agree with Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky)?

This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

Editors, take note: THIS, from The Guardian, is how you write a headline.

I feel like i could post this every day for the rest of my life, and it would still be underseen, under appreciated and not understood by those who need to understand it. Anyway, here it is again. Please share with abandon.

There are no mainstream Republicans or media elites or corporate leaders riding to our rescue.

The only people who are going to save our democracy is us. Regular, everyday Americans. Like the record setting 7 million who turned out this weekend.

How can you expect people to know what words like "socialist" and "capitalist" actually mean when they don't even understand what "Christian" means?

New "reality" TV show melding The Apprentice and Survivor and TRIANGLE OF SADNESS, dropping a handful of oligarchs and serfs on a desert island, culminating in hand-to-hand combat.

WHO WOULD WATCH IT???

I realize that there’s plenty of competition for “the greatest scam ever perpetrated” on the American people, but please let me suggest that it is this:

Conflating Christian values with those of Capitalism, which in fact are diametrically opposed.

Is the U.S.’s current form of government spelled “idiotocracy” or “idiautocracy”?

It’s really confusing to remember which part to emphasize...

If we flew the American flag at half-mast for every murder of an American who deserved better, who deserved to be heard and respected and live in peace, we’d never raise the flag to its full height again.

It’s never been more evident than now that the pursuit of political influence in the name of religious faith is nothing more than the worship of a false god.

The rise to prominence of Charlie Kirk is both cause and effect of this idolatry.

Both of the co-founders of Turning Point USA died from things that were preventable, but which they mocked and urged this nation to ignore. Bill Montgomery was killed in 2020 by COVID and Charlie Kirk was killed in 2025 by gun violence.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.
