Never can write these
I get v irritated at how hard it is to buy books on my fucking kindle. Why is the kindle store constantly needing a minute to update? It's certainly not to update the SHIT search function. Recommendations are way off. Payment takes ages. Downloading is slow and also it breaks incredibly often.

If these two bat for the first hour tomorrow, I will admit that I was wrong. And I never do that, so this is massive for everyone concerned.

It wasn't the non scoring shots that got them out though, was it?

I think he means in a similar manner. ie staying in and NOT PLAYING BOOMING DRIVES WIDE OF OFF STUMP OR HOOKING WHEN IT'S AUSTRALIA'S PLAN.

Strike rate is strike rate though. If that's your criteria for picking then this innings is a failure?

Look at Root's strike rate here. Is that not cutting it?

Fair enough. But I'd say the opener with the lowest average at that position in history with that amount of tests is a failure.

I don't think they've looked properly in control of a series since after that first year. They are talented and super entertaining but SO one dimensional. Just a bit more professionalism. One more solid batsman. Who knows? Maybe that takes the magic away.

They're wrong though. That's my point.

I find them entertaining. But justified by results? Failing to win any big home series which they could have won? I just don't agree on that.

That could be true but also I don't think we really know what innings people could have played because they've blindly stuck by an opener who doesn't score enough runs because he fits in.

His opening partner at Kent averages 15 more in FC than him. Maybe it's not comparable but we'll never know.
