Couldn’t be more excited to be kicking off the second cohort of East100.

It’s such a massive privilege to work with aspiring headteachers from across the east of England.

We get to spend a year building a network that can engage in collective action to eradicate the disadvantage gap.

Can’t wait.

My first out of 11 blogs representing 11 leadership strategies was all about True Inclusion: valuing every role in school and building trust. The second, Clarity of Purpose, focused on vision and clear boundaries to help staff thrive. This third blog is about Leading by Example

Hope you enjoy…

The idea that reading comprehension is a set of generic “find the main idea” skills has been so damaging. Excellent stuff from @suchmo83.bsky.social

Many of us involved in #historyteacher #TeacherEducation have been keen to see subject, & distinctive nature of our discipline, re-centred in the recent focus on instructional coaching & core-practices in schools. It was brilliant, therefore, to read 'Secondary History in Action'. 1/

I definitely hear this and think the bbc (and media more generally) should be properly properly scrutinising those things, I just don’t think it needs to be in every article.

Like I could imagine those on the right complaining that every article on Corbyn didn’t include his Iran links etc.
jonhutchinson.bsky.social
It really sure why the first or third person particularly matters, unless you think the political editor should never write in the first person.

And the second sentence sounds like you are saying the reform should face greater scrutiny than the left.
jonhutchinson.bsky.social
I’m sure that folks on the right were very upset at the bbc back then for covering and describing the rise of Corbyn.

Am I missing something?
jonhutchinson.bsky.social
I’m not sure what everyone is upset about. They covered Corbynmania in a similar way.
