Absolutely - I like the fan series Star Trek Continues, too, it's such high quality with some great writing. It at least closes the 'five year mission' angle, and leads nicely into the Motion Picture era.

I love that boxset.

I never used to like it because it wasn't really speaking to me, but it's really grown on me and I love the pace and the concept now. I just wish it was a bit more colourful, the sets and costumes were a bit beige.

Still, the exterior space shots are stunning, some of the best in the business.

I'm getting emotional watching the shuttle approach the Enterprise in drydock.

I had fun playing other things but I never really felt them. I was always more interested in *who* my character was, not *what* they were. I guess I just go with what I connect with, and I still have childhood dreams of Robin of Sherwood, Aragorn and Prince Valiant.

It's strange but I'll play pretty much any non-magical human class. For me it's about experiencing the magic of the setting and if I'm already part of that as a magic user or another race then I don't get that same sense of immersion. I have to experience it through eyes I can relate to in some way.

Yep - I think I have a new favourite Star Fleet starship. The Larson is a great design and built for purpose. I really like it.

Yes, and here it is! I've got the Federation Starship Recognition Manual and it's fully detailed.

The FASA stuff was so good, the Four Years War was one of my favourite books.

I'm a massive fan of this ship and it looks great in the video - it's a Larson-class destroyer, and it's a simple single-nacelle vessel that doesn't look like much but its classification sets it up as a fighting ship.

That's really interesting - I've had a look and they seem like something I'd enjoy. Thanks for the heads up!
